The Manaslu Luxury Circuit Trek is the perfect way to see one of the most incredible mountain loops in the world while keeping the comforts of home. While the standard trail around Manaslu is famous for being wild and having only basic places to stay, this luxury version lets you walk the journey with the best hospitality in the region. This 16-day journey crosses the high Larkya La Pass, offering comfortable lodges with private rooms and good meals each night, perfect for travelers who want to see remote mountains while enjoying a soft bed and a warm room. This trek is the best of both worlds, offering a wild mountain expedition combined with the service of a comfortable holiday.
Major Highlights of the Manaslu Circuit Luxury Trek
Enjoy Himalayan culture with comfort as you spend most of your time exploring the villages. Walking through villages like Namrung and Lho feels like entering a different era as you would be surrounded by long walls of Mani stones and prayer wheels that locals spin as they pass. it feels like a natural balcony with front row views of peaks like Himal Chuli, Ngadi Chuli, and the massive summit of Manaslu.
The highlight of the Manaslu Luxury Trek is the crossing of the Larkya La Pass. At 5,106 meters, this is a serious high altitude challenge. Even on a luxury trek, the mountain does not get any lower, but the preparation makes all the difference. With an extra acclimatization day in Samdo and a hike to the Tibet border at Ruila Pass, your body is much better prepared for the summit day. Staying in the best available lodge at Dharmashala means you can rest as well as possible before the early morning start.
The climb is hard, but deeply rewarding. As the sun rises, the peaks turn golden and the glaciers catch the light. From the top, the views of Himlung Himal and the Annapurna range stretch endlessly in every direction. The descent into Bhimtang is just as beautiful with a wide, open valley where a warm meal and a comfortable bed wait at the end of the day.
To get the most out of your Manaslu journey, it is important to arrive in good physical condition. While our luxury service means you will have a comfortable bed and great meals to help you recover each night, the days still involve several hours of walking on steep and rugged trails. We recommend starting a simple but consistent training routine about three months before you travel. Activities like swimming, cycling, or brisk walking 4 to 5 times a week will help your heart and lungs get ready for the thin mountain air.
Practicing squats and lunges with your actual backpack is a great way to build the leg strength you will need to walk the uneven terrain during this trek. This ensures that carrying your water, camera, and extra layers feels easy throughout the day. Finally, remember that your mindset is just as important as your fitness. Keeping a positive and relaxed attitude, even when the trail gets a bit tough, is what turns a great trek into a truly life-changing experience.
